Johannesburg Launch

This evening was the Johannesburg launch for Ruth First and Joe Slovo in the War Against Apartheid. July 4th not a holiday here. The launch was at Lilliesleaf as part of the 50 year commemoration of the Rivonia Raid. Many MK and others that were interviewed for the book attended as well as 17 Ruth First Scholarship high school students from Jeppe Girls High School. Nobel prize for literature author, Nadine Gordimer, who wrote the forward for the book was also in attendance. Truly a special night.
